Calumet City joins scrum for south suburban casino license with proposal involving River Oaks site

After narrowly losing out on a bid for a casino license a decade ago, Calumet City is now making the current quest for a coveted south suburban casino license a four-way race.


The city will hold a public hearing Friday on a proposal from Southland Live Casino, a partnership that includes the privately held firm Delaware North, which operates a casino in Illinois.
