ESTATE PLANNING

Providing comprehensive estate planning advice and services tailored to your goals for managing preserving, and transferring wealth.

O'Rourke offers services and consultations throughout all stages of estate planning. We consider both your personal goals and needs as an individual, as well as offering thorough research and planning to help you manage, accumulate and transfer wealth. We aim to provide these services in the most efficient and simple way possible, streamlining the process of developing trusts, wills, power of attorney, and other similar documents.

You can expect to work with attorneys who have knowledge and experience in developing estate plans, frequently focusing on complex estate, income, gift and generation-skipping tax issues. We tailor our planning to specific client needs. Our attorneys have extensive experience in complex estate and tax planning, implementing strategies such as split interest charitable trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, “dynasty trusts”, grantor retained income trusts and unitrusts, family limited partnerships, and qualified domestic trusts.

We handle a large assortment of asset types including individuals and families with a variety of estate sizes, individuals and families with personal situations that need special planning like a family member with a disability, corporate executives and professionals, owners of closely held businesses, and businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Each situation is examined and analyzed by our extremely qualified attorneys to decide the best plan and technique to achieve a client’s goals. We also represent trustees, guardians, executors, and administrators.

The planning we do for our clients is sometimes implemented during their lifetime but can also be implemented after their death. In terms of lifetime planning, we frequently prepare and file gift tax returns, including audits and asset valuation issues and audits. We also have an expansive experience with clients in the stages of negotiation and implementation of premarital and postnuptial agreements. Additionally, our attorneys also have experience establishing power of attorney and trusts. These actions help an individual’s medical and financial affairs during times of physical and mental disability.
